Kitchen Remodel Osage Beach, MO
Sometimes a simple facelift is all you need to fall in love with your kitchen all over again. This kitchen remodel in Osage Beach, MO is lake love at first sight.
Kitchen Remodel Osage Beach Before
Osage Beach is a city in Camden and Miller counties in the U.S. state of Missouri, near Lake of the Ozarks. Some would say Osage Beach is the heart of Lake of the Ozarks. The area contains around 23,000 homes and condos and 1986 is the median year these properties were built. That means the majority of these properties are in need of updating. This condo project was one of those properties.
Like most lake homes built in the 80s, this kitchen featured oak kitchen cabinets in a golden stain. The cabinet hardware was dated and the Formica countertops were showing wear. There was no backsplash behind the cooking area which was one of the customer’s biggest complaints. There was also a large structure built around the raised bar area at the peninsula to house recessed lighting over the eating area the customer wanted removed. So, using our 4P Remodeling Process, we got to work.
Kitchen Remodel Osage Beach Design
After reviewing a few design concepts, the customer decided to keep the core layout of the kitchen the same in order to keep the timeline and the project cost low. The refrigerator and range stayed in the same locations as well as the sink. However, the peninsula and sink area was reworked to become one large level countertop. The overhead structure was also removed to make a more open feel with the vaulted ceiling.
Another odd feature of the existing kitchen was the cabinetry was the shorter 30” wall cabinets but the original installer mounted the wall cabinets much higher than the standard height making the cabinets hard to use. Our new kitchen design specified 42” high wall cabinets that were mounted at the correct height for increased storage and usability.
This kitchen features Waypoint Living Spaces cabinetry in Linen finish and Cambria quartz countertops. The addition of under-cabinet lighting, a ceramic tile backsplash and decorative pendant lighting really complete this lake-front kitchen.
